## Sign-in

**Sign in with a Passkey.** Business users can sign in with a Passkey instead of a password, and add a second step to every sign-in.

- **Passkeys**: Sign in with your device's face, fingerprint or screen lock instead of a password.
- **Two-factor sign-in**: Add an authenticator app, with recovery codes and a trusted device as fallbacks.
- **Sign-in alerts**: An email when your account signs in from a new device or a new location.
- **Your devices**: See the devices signed in to your account and log out the others.

## Roles and permissions

**Everyone sees what their role allows.** Every team member has one of four roles. EasyBook checks each action against that role on the server, not just in the app.

- **Owner**: Full access to the business, its settings and its team.
- **Admin**: Manages the business alongside the owner.
- **Professional**: Books and manages appointments from their own calendar.
- **Receptionist**: Books, moves and cancels appointments, and keeps client details up to date.

## Hosting

**Your data stays in the EU.** EasyBook runs in the European Union. Read how we process your data in the [Data Processing Agreement](https://easybook.ai/partner/data-processing-agreement).

- **Database and files**: Stored on Google Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany.
- **App servers**: Run in the Netherlands.
- **In transit**: Every connection to EasyBook is encrypted with TLS.

## Your data

**Your data, your call.** Download what we hold, or close your account, from your settings. Your clients have the same rights.

- **Download your data**: Ask for a copy of your account data from your privacy settings.
- **Delete your account**: Close your account, with a 30-day grace period to change your mind.
- **Your clients' data**: Export a client's data, or erase it when they ask.

## Security questions

### Where is my data stored?

In the EU: your database and files are on Google Cloud in Frankfurt, and our app servers run in the Netherlands. The [Data Processing Agreement](https://easybook.ai/partner/data-processing-agreement) sets out how we handle it.

### Can one business see another's data?

No. Everything in EasyBook belongs to one business, and every request is checked against the business it comes from. Clients see only their own bookings.

### How are passwords kept?

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as plain text. With a Passkey, there is no password to steal at all.

### How do I report a security issue?
